Estate

Located in Itterswiller, a lovely, flower-bedecked wine-producing village on the Route des Vins between Strasbourg and Colmar, right in the heart of Alsacfeuille.jpge, Itterswiller is also an excellent destination for those who enjoy fine cuisine.

The estate is independently-owned and was founded by Hélène and Justin in the1960s. They currently own 8.5 hectares of vines spread over 9 different municipalities, planted in a very wide variety of ‘terroirs’ (concept combining soil type, climate and topography). This helps bring out the character of each individual Alsatian vine variety, the grapes from which are all entirely hand-harvested.

The "Muencberg" terroirs, composed of 250 million year old pink sandstone and the "Marckrain" limestone-marl ‘Grand Cru’ classified plots confer an exceptional level of quality to our wines. Other terroirs like the "Fruehmess", the "Kritt", the "Fronholz" and soon, the "Eichelberg" also invest their wines with fine mineral notes and a character that is very much their own. Alsatian sparkling wines, Late Harvest wines, Sélection de Grains Nobles and cask-aged Pinot Noir round off the range of wines that is currently produced by their son, Jean-Luc.feuille3.jpg
